Inspection Plans for Customers Whom Own Their Tank

As a propane tank owner, you must have your tank inspected and maintained in accordance with the laws in your state.

All 50 States in the United States have adopted some version of the National Fire Protection Association Pamphlet 58 (NFPA 58) code as the law in the respective State.  Excerpts from NFPA 58 relating to tank inspection and maintenance are provided at this link click here.

These inspections must be documented and repairs made by a qualified propane gas professional. ThompsonGas can take care of this for you for $44.95* or $4.50* per month. If parts are needed for a repair of your equipment, we will notify you of the cost prior to undertaking the repair.

If you would like to avoid paying this maintenance fee each year we offer to purchase your tank. Thereafter, ThompsonGas will be responsible to maintain the tank.
