Talent and Wishes Unite.
Boonsboro, MD, On Friday, April 23rd 2010, Boonsboro Middle School held a talent show charity event in which proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. Several hundred people attended the talent show, which raised nearly $2,300. ThompsonGas President & CEO was in attendance and was moved by the kids desire to use their talents. “When I see kids learning the value in giving back to their communities, I get excited and want to show them, by example, that it is truly more blessed to give than receive” said Randy Thompson, President & CEO of ThompsonGas. Despite a fire at its Boonsboro, MD facility, “ThompsonGas and Thompson Ace Hardware will continue to lead the Boonsboro community with philanthropic endeavors to make the community a better place to live and work”, Mr. Thompson said.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Foundation serves children who reside in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
